This was Day three for me on the HCG diet. And since the first two days are "loading" days it was my first day on the VLCD. All the homeopathic HCG reviews I've read indicated that it would be tough and I believed them, but it was quite different to actually do it. The reviews also said that it was tough to drink enough water. And again...it was. I'll have to work on drinking more water; a lot more water!
When I weighed myself first thing this morning (the day after Thanksgiving) I was up one pound. That left me at 171 pounds. My weight always goes back and forth a bit so it didn't surprise me; especially since I've been "loading" for the last 2 days. After I weighed myself I took my HCG drops along with the B-Total drops I bought to go along with the diet. First thing I did was set the kids up with an after Thanksgiving day feast. I had to get rid of all the leftovers that I wasn't going to be able to touch. I tossed everything they didn't eat. That was a relief because having it around would have definitely killed any attempts I had at dieting.
Then I spent the morning drinking lots and lots of water. I couldn't get into any herbal tea even when Isweetened it with flavored Stevia. But I'm going to try another flavor of herbal tea tomorrow. It would be really handy if I could get attached to some herbal tea, but it might be tough since I've never been a tea drinker or herbal tea drinker. But since I didn't get attached this morning I just stuck with water. And I figure that's alright since the homeopathic HCG reviews say that not enough water is an issue a lot of dieters run across.
So by the time lunch rolled around I was starving. From now on I definitely need to make lunch before I'm starving. By the time it was done I absolutely scarfed it down. My kids are home from school for the holiday so it was an added difficulty to make their food (they wanted grilled cheese sandwiches).
But I did finally get my lunch ready. I had a romaine lettuce salad with tomato. With the salad I had chicken cooked in a pan on the stovetop sprayed with non stick cooking spray. I seasoned the chicken with the Creole seasoning that was listed as approved on the diet. I read about it in a few homeopathic HCG reviews so I figured it would be pretty good. It was more than good; it was amazing! It could be my new favorite seasoning. I'd never tried a Creole seasoning before so I was surprised. I had strawberries with both lunch and dinner for my "fruit" portion of the diet. I was a little sad that the kids were dipping their's in chocolate and I didn't get to, but I did try mine with a little Stevia on top. It was pretty good.
Lisa (my HCG dieting buddy/competitor) came over for dinner. We had Shake and Bake Tilapia. We got the recipe from the HCG Diet Direct Cookbook and it was really good. Even the dinner guests who aren't on HCG were loving the fish. Amidst the yummy HCG approved foods I was able to successfully maneuver so that I got the HCG drops in as required and I took my B-Total Sublingual in the morning. I'm giving myself an A for Day 3. - 30414
