Vitamin B and Inadequate Levels

Vitamins in our life are essential for the correct functioning of our bodies, and they are acquired externally as we can't auto-provide them. We must ensure we have a diet with good quantities of vitamins and nutritional value.

When we talk about the vitamin b complex vitamins, we are talking about a family of related vitamins that we need to consume as a group.

B12 vitamin is one of the most common types of deficiencies because of different reasons such as stressed lives, toxins, use of drugs, malnutrition and the popularity of processed foods.

This vitamin condition can lead to the development of serious signs such as neurological disorders and anemia, the effect is worse in children.

Among the ones who are more prone of developing a deficiency, specifically B12 deficiency, are vegan and vegetarian people that leave out any type of animal food from their diets. For them, supplementation is a must.

Animal food products are the best when it comes to providing this vitamin, we can easily found it in eggs, liver, muscle flesh and dairy products.

Adequate amounts of vitamin B complex are hard to find in vegetable sources. High amounts of them would be needed to get the right levels and have a well-balanced vitamin intake.

Among the few vegetable sources that offer vitamin B we have avocado, spinach, soybeans, bananas and baked potatoes. Still, vegetarian need the aid of fortified cereals or supplements.

Treatment of this type of deficiency will be given according to the severity of your case and your current lifestyle habits. Some forms of vitamin B are available to be supplemented via injections, sublingual means and even creams.
