Recent claims about the acai berry have been pretty astounding. While there is some scientific evidence that has been tested on this fruit, it has still been advertised as one of the best nutritional finds ever and it has been touted as a miracle cure for everything from obesity to cancer.

Well the acai berry is exceptionally nutritious but it is just the latest find in a long line of extremely healthy superfoods. Superfoods range from blueberries to spinach and oranges to green tea. The list of superfoods goes on and on and there are many, many extremely healthy superfoods.

A healthy diet consists of a variety of healthy foods. We all need a healthy combination of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats. Antioxidants help protect our bodies from free radical damage which can cause excessive aging, damage to our arteries and yes, even disease. But the acai berry is not a miracle cure for anything. Improve your diet all around by adding in all kinds of healthy foods like blueberries, spinach, broccoli, salmon, walnuts, green tea, tomatoes and more.
